Merry Christmas!

Today we got the best present ever, I took the pregnancy test and am happy to say that we are expecting!  I was supposed to do it as soon as I woke up but forgot and had to wait a bit.  We went down stairs and opened the gifts then J went upstairs to take a nap and I played with the kids.  I managed to sneak up stairs to take the test which was positive immediately. As I left the room J teased me that he would not let me look until after dinner, so I told him it was to late and it turned positive immediately.

Later on Evelyn asked me to pick her up and I told her I could not as J takes the 25lb weight limit very seriously and she asked me if I was pregnant.  It is going to be hard to keep this from her.

I can't wait to tell the kids!

Mothers Day

I can't say that today was the mother's day that I thought it would be. Jason took Evelyn and let me sleep in. I woke up thinking that J must have taken Evelyn on a walk to keep her that quiet. nope she was not feeling well and went back to sleep 10 min after she woke up. She slept until 9:30 which she NEVER does! The rest of the day she wasn't feeling well so we did alot of reading and cuddling (before her nap we read Polar Bear, Polar Bear What do you hear 4 times! Then I rocked her to sleep, which also usually does not happen.

Poor thing had another 2 hour nap. The rest of the day was just like any other though she was acting better a while after her nap (initially she was fussy and crying). We ended up canceling on mom and dad, which I feel bad for (and was disappointed about) but I know they understand. I can't say it was the mother's day that I was hoping for though I did enjoy the cuddling and I loved the card that Evelyn made for me!
