Week 10!

We are in the double digits and the baby this week is a prune weighing in at .14 oz and1.2 inches! With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will too.)

First Ultrasound

Today was the first ultrasound. It was really great to see the baby (and to be sure there is only one!). This little guy did not move around a whole lot; I thought he/she was sleeping at first. But then he/she waved at us when we could see the arms! I am now officially 9 weeks and 6 days pregnant and I can't wait to start telling people this weekend :) I hope Everyone likes Evelyn's new shirt!

Sympathy

For some reason this time around Jason seems to be a lot more sympathetic to my fatigue and sleeping issues. Since the fatigue hit I have done nothing though it doesn't help that we have to feed Evelyn as soon as we get her in the door or she runs to the cabinet and cries. Since J gets home first that means he cooks (and our kitchen is trashed). We have been eating a lot of pasta which I hope to change soon as it is driving me nuts. I need some good crock pot recipes... At any rate when I try to clean up he usually scoots me a long to bed (once Miss Evelyn is asleep) where I read and relax until I fall asleep anywhere from 7-9:30 depending on how well I have slept the night before. This also is part of the reason why my blog has not been kept up well - I just can't do it at work!

Wow did I get off topic and jump around a lot. Back to the fatigue I remember during the last pregnancy Jason would go on a trip and expect the house to be clean when he got back - boy was he upset when it wasn't. but I remember telling him how tired I was and just not having the energy to do it. this time around maybe I've been grumpier but he seems to get the hint that I don't have the energy for much. soon I should get my energy back soon! I hope...

Photos

So I know I haven't uploaded photos latley and I am sorry. I know you all miss seeing Evelyn. The good news is I think Jason just told me what is going on and why the time it took to upload the photos increased - the router we have downstairs is slow. So I will try to get better at uploading the pics at least to Evelyns blog - not today though as I'm not sure where my camera is. There just is not enough time in the day!

kissing the baby :)

This morning after Evelyn had eaten she started to poke my belly button. So I said to her Evelyn can you give the baby a kiss? She did it was the sweetest thing! I of course said you are such a good girl Evelyn! so she gave the baby a few more kisses for good measure. I didn't have my camera handy but am sure that she will do it again! I'd love to get a picture of her kissing the baby when I am ready to pop!

The Heartbeat!

Today was Baby Bee's first doctors appointment. It was your standard first appointment where they gave me a pregnancy test and did the usual checks. At the end of the visit she said that my uterus was tipped back a little but that we would try to find the heart beat. She looked around for a little while and found mine, then after another minute or so found baby bee's it was fast and strong and though Dr P didn't measure it she seemed to be happy with the sound of it. I could have spent the rest of the day listening to the heartbeat! It seemed like that part of the visit was over way too quickly. I left the Dr's office with a smile on my face hearing the little heartbeat definitely lifted some of the funk that I had been feeling lately. I can't wait for Monday when Jason and I actually get to see the little one.

I'm so done with winter!

the snow storm tonight is the last straw. I need sun and warmth. I have had enough of the white cold. Please make it stop soon...
