first word!
Tickle tickle tickle! When we tickle William we say tickle tickle tickle sounds like ticka ticka ticka very quickly as of Thursday William has started to say it too :). This weekend (Saturday) William also BaBa for a sheep that he likes to see. I'm so excited to have him talking even a little bit! I hope to keep track of what he says a little better.

What ever you do do not change the routine...
Especially the night time routine. after getting home a little late and everyone
laying in bed with her next to me and she starts to pat the pillow. I think ok and take her hand and show her where my face is thinking she just wants to see where I am. she then pats teh pillow again, then my hair, my shoulder, back to my hair, now my cheek and I figure she is looking for something. Then she finds it bulls eye - she honks my nose. I have to hold my breath to keep from laughing. then she lets go and starts over again landing on my nose. the secound time she is not diswaided as much

Rookie Mistakes
I'm so glad that this is the last night that J will be out of town. Tonight was a rough one. It started out well enough and we had a great dinner then it was bath time...
Evelyn was into giving kisses to William tonight during his bath. I don't know why I thought this was a good idea however he was close to the side of the tub and she didn't have to lean much. then he moved away from the side of the tub and I told her to wait to give him any more kisses until he was out of the bath but of course she didn't listen so she fell face first into the tub. She didn't seem to be hurt and was just a little shaken as I fished her out of her brother's bath. Really that would have been enough however as I was comforting her and drying her off her brother fell down to (something he has never done before in the bath tub). So neither of them were very happy though even William calmed down fairly quickly when I took him out. I was so done with bath time!
He didn't do to badly going down for bed though about halfway through Evelyn's bath he screamed for a little bit. and try as I might I could not rush Evelyn out of the tub (I was not about to leave her there alone) So William stopped on his own and fell asleep which I suppose is a good thing. I guess I should be thankful that her fall did not frighten her away from taking baths and I still had to remind her not to jump in the bath tub.
I thought I was in good shape after the bath time debacle when after reading Evelyn went to bed after only getting up once and I would have been right had I not gone and opened her bedroom door. Really she had been quiet so I thought she was asleep - famous last words... She was clearly awake and after seeing the door opened (and hearing me leave a message for daddy) thought it was playtime again. Let me tell you it does not take much to get this kid wound up. Talking to Daddy does not help. She was up until 10 running in and out of her bedroom like a little Jack in the Box.

Concert in the park
With J out of town I decided that it would be a great excuse to keep the kids out of the house for the night. Evelyn's favorite park has concerts in the summer on Tuesday nights. today was "big band". we got to the park, and boy am I glad we got there early with the concert and several soccer games going on the parking lot was packed. We headed strait for the park and played for a little while (AKA Evelyn got in the swings) then headed over to the music area and set up the pick nick. Grandma and Grandpa met us there and we all had a great time. I know Me and the kids will be going again hopefully someday with Jason. William got fussy early and I decided that it was time to head out so others could listen to music instead of William crying.
William did not fall asleep in the car as I feared and cried a little longer than I had hoped considering how he was acting. perhapse he was over tired. Still we had a great time!
