MMA

So I'm thinking it is about time to give up the jujitsu and stick with striking.  Class tonight would have been one of the fun classes; they were practising throws.  I love being thrown but just didn't feel comfortable with it.

While we were practising I worked with one of the smaller girls and did throw her but before I did I wanted to make sure that she knew that I was pregnant however I was for some reason being subtle about the whole thing. and asked her if she knew about the situation...  She said yes but didn't really seem to understand (I'm not surprised) so I followed up with "so you know about the pregnancy?"  the girl turned to the girl that I was previously working with and said "I knew it!" we had to disappoint her a bit and tell her it was me she did give me an enthusiastic congrats.  Though I'm pretty sure that my first partner will be trying in the next few months...

The kids do not know and yet

The kids do not know and yet...

Evelyn:  (Climbing over me) you feel like you have a baby in your belly.
Me: would you like that?
Evelyn: Oh yes! (giggling)
Me: I bet you would.
Evelyn: I would because then I could sleep on your belly.
Me: I bet if you did that the baby would kick you!
Evelyn: (laughing) I wouldn't mind I think it would be funny!

We did look at ultrasound pictures today so maybe that is what prompted this!

How to know you are pregnant...

Daddy asked William and Evelyn how we could tell if mommy had babies in her belly (It drove me nuts that he kept using the plural as I only have one baby in me and the kids are already excited to have twin siblings as they have asked the stars for twins... and it made me a bit sad too)

William (without hesitation): "We need to put a hole in her belly"
Dad: "We need to put a hole in her belly?"
William: "Yes, Sorry mom.  But we will fix you up when you are done."

Evelyn was a little more practical and told us that we should go to the doctor.

Jason then went into a long talk about measuring hormones in the urine and the ultrasound machine.  It was a bit much but he said if they dreamed of bats that maybe they could tell us if there was a baby in there.  And I said that maybe they will leave us a picture so we will be leaving out the Ultrasound tonight and they will know tomorrow.  (Which we didn't do)

Happy Easter!

We had a great day today despite the fact that my eye was again swollen (worse than last night), I did however have trouble getting out of bed.  Jason got up with the kids giving me a few minutes to get my eye open, wash it off and get my first dose of drops in.

the kids were very excited about finding eggs in their rooms again however Evelyn was disappointed that she did not get to take a picture of the Easter Bunny despite having a camera in her bed.  The first thing that she said to me was "I'm sorry that I didn't get a picture of the Easter Bunny." and she sounded to sad.  But that quickly dissipated once she started to help her brother find his eggs.  She seemed disappointed that the eggs had daddy's cereal in them.  but i am still thinking that having breakfast cereal in them may be a good tradition and get them to eat some breakfast before the real hunt begins.
 Evelyn still got the egg...

Evelyn was eager to go downstairs and did a great job finding eggs.  it was hard to slow her down so that William (wh kept stopping t eat what was in his eggs) could get some too.  The eggs were stuffed with oreo minis (the biggest favorite) Amy's cinnamon bunnies and pennies.  They both ate all the oreos before breakfast.

After lunch we had out typical failed nap time so I took the kids outside.  Evelyn was excited to get her bike out for the summer.  She will son be ready for a big girl bike!  and william is starting to get teh hang of the bike as well.  We also took the time to play out in the front yard with dad taking a break from cooking to come out as well.  Eventually it got colder and windy which bothered my eye so we needed to go inside.

We had craft time however the kids were not interested in doing what i was hoping for so I had to settle for them scribbling (and not leting me cut up their pictures and made my own to make eggs for easter cards.  Hopefully I can get them out tomorrow though i am disapointed that the eggs were not decorated by the kids this year.

Dinner went well though william (thaks to the eggs) had crackers stashed everywhere and so he didn't eat too well but evelyn did a great job and both sat relativly still.  Okay william was in his high chari but still.  after dinner we had an early Yellow bath with bubbles whic went well untill William decided to jump wich means I take him out usually kicking and screaming.

Daddy got him ready for bed as evelyn cleaned up her blocks so that she could have a mani & Pedi.

A little spring gardening...

After work today both kids got the shovels out today.  Evelyn went in after dad opened the door however William insisted on staying outside.  Daddy wrestled Him into his jacket which he is refusing to wear these days and we were off for some spring gardening.  I can't wait until it is warmer and we get to play outside after work for real!

Proof that although spring is here winter will not go...

I dressed Evelyn's dolls in one of Aunt Sarah's old Pajamas and Evelyn got super excited.  She said "Oh mom, she looks like she is getting married!
